Dechlor Adsorbent Beads 204

Part No: RXSOL-24-1905-160

Rapid removal of hydrogen chloride from dry gas, liquefied gas LPG, liquid hydrocarbons, and synthesis gas in reforming units.

These Adsorbent catalysts are non-regenerative adsorbent is the preferred product for removing trace HCl from Olefin-containing hydrocarbon streams. RXSOL Adsorbent Beads provides the highest chloride capacity in commercial service, while significantly minimizing green oil and organic chloride formation. Features and benefits include:

Optimized pore size distribution leading to higher capacity. High degree of macro-porosity for rapid adsorption and short mass transfer zone. High surface area substrate to extend bed life. Customized adsorbent for ultra low activity in process streams.

Application

This RXSOL Adsorption Beads are the latest generation adsorbent for impurity removal.

Adsorbent is used to treat the net gas and LPG produced in catalytic reforming units, the reactor effluent from process units, and various liquid hydrocarbon streams.

Dechlorination catalyst is prepared using pseudo boehmite and metal active components with excellent dechlorination performance as raw materials by using a ball rolling process; It has the characteristics of rapid reaction with hydrogen chloride. The remarkable characteristics of this product are large specific surface area, rapid reaction, strong adaptability, high chlorine capacity, and wide application range. It can be used under different pressures and can be used to remove hydrogen chloride from a wide range of materials.

Mainly used in the rapid removal of hydrogen chloride from dry gas, liquefied gas (LPG), liquid hydrocarbons, and synthesis gas in reforming units, isomerization units, dehydrogenation units, and synthesis gas units; In particular, an ideal adsorbent for the removal of hydrogen chloride from olefin containing materials can significantly reduce the generation of green oil and organic chlorides.

Dose
Dechlor Adsorbent Beads 204 removes chloride (primarily as hydrogen chloride, HCl, or chloride ions) through a high-affinity chemisorption and physical adsorption process onto its porous aluminum oxide surface.

How Dechlor Adsorbent Beads 204 Works
  • High Surface Area: Activated alumina features a porous structure with a high surface area (often exceeding 200 m²/g), providing extensive contact sites.
  • Chemically Active Sites: The surface reacts with gaseous or liquid contaminants (like HCl in industrial streams or chloride ions in water) to trap them permanently within the matrix.
  • Promoted Formulations: Special active promoters are often added to activated alumina to maximize chloride loading capacity and prevent unwanted side reactions like green oil formation.

Industrial area
Surface area is in the range 345-415. Because it has a higher capacity for water than Silica Gel at elevated temperatures it is mainly used as a desiccant for warm gases including air. In many commercial applications zeolitic materials have now replaced it.

Application:
Purification of gases and liquids (removal of metallic traces, TBC and HF compounds).
Drying of organic liquids such as LPG, propylene, butene, steam cracked liquids, cyclohexane, gasoline, chloro- and fluorohydrocarbons, aromatic solvents.
Drying of air and gases such as steam cracked gases, catalytic reforming recycle gas, synthesis gas, natural gas, CO2.
Drying of organic liquids as LPG, aromatics, steam cracked liquids, gasoline, chloro- and fluorocarbons.
Drying of air and gases as steam cracked gases, catalytic reforming recycle gases, synthesis gases, methyl chloride, natural gas, LNG, etc.
Drying of hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, CO2, etc.
Purification of gases and liquids (removal of metallic traces, BF3, TBC, HCl, HF and fluorinated hydrocarbons).
Catalyst for Claus conversion in sub dew point processes.
Air drying (PSA, TSA)
Instrument air, supersonic wind tunnel, compressed air
Gas drying Air separation plants, inert and rare gases, Hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, CO2.
Natural gas in production and compression plants, LPG, LNG.
Aromatics, naphtha cuts and cracked gas.

Silica Gel: We manufacture silica gel blue, white and orange beads and crystals for the moisture-adsorbing process from industrial air, gases and any product packaging.

Activated Alumina Balls: Activated Alumina is counted in the list of effective adsorbents and desiccants used in several applications for removing moisture and purifying the products.
Activated alumina will never disintegrate, shrink or swell when engrossed in water.
Mainly used for removing “Arsenic & Fluoride Removal” from water and used as an “Air Drying” desiccant.

Molecular Sieves Beads/Pellets: This desiccant can easily remove impurities from many industrial and natural gases, solvents & liquids.

The types of molecular sieves desiccants offered by Sorbead India include 3A, 4A, 5A, and 13X molecular sieves, carbon molecular sieves, and molecular sieve powder, which are available in the form of beads, pellets, and powder.

Carbon Molecular Sieve: Sorbead India offers qualitative carbon molecular sieves, especially for nitrogen generation PSA (Pressure Swing Adsorption) Plants. N2 Purity: 99.99%

Molecular Sieve Powder: Zeolite powder is an excellent moisture scavenger for polyurethane coatings, adhesives, sealants and elastomers. It is in powder form.
Remarks / Precaution

Benefits of using RXSOL Dechlor Adsorbent Beads for hydrogen chloride gas extraction and adsorption

  • Low Effluent Levels: Capable of reducing chloride output down to trace levels  in proper gas-phase designs.
  • Mechanical Strength: Resists crushing, softening, or disintegrating during long cycles in fixed beds or aqueous environments.
Note

Where are Dechlor Adsorbent Beads 204 used?

  • Petrochemical & Refining: Used in fixed guard beds to strip HCl from reformer hydrogen gas streams, liquid hydrocarbons, and feedstocks to prevent equipment corrosion and catalyst poisoning.
  • Water Treatment: Applied to capture residual chloride or chlorine-related ions and anions from industrial process water or wastewater.
  • Air Purification: Helps remove gaseous chlorine and halogenated compounds from industrial exhaust or manufacturing environments.
