Application

Maintaining clean, hygienic and odour-free toilets requires the correct selection of cleaning chemicals. Hard water deposits, urine scale, rust stains, soap scum and organic contamination can accumulate on toilet bowls, urinals, tiles and other sanitary surfaces.

RXSOL Toilet Cleaning Chemicals are developed for commercial, industrial, institutional and marine sanitation applications, helping maintenance teams select effective products for different cleaning challenges.

RXSOL offers a range of cleaning chemistry options, including acid-based descalers, thickened toilet cleaning gels, alkaline detergents and disinfectant solutions.

Removes stains where toilet germs lurk. Keeps toilets glistening clean without scrubbing. Works chemically and cleans even hidden traps. Use at least twice a week to remove film stains, incrustations and toilet odors.

Dose

Types of RXSOL Toilet Cleaning Chemicals

1. Acid-Based Toilet Bowl Cleaners

Acidic toilet cleaners are primarily used to dissolve inorganic deposits such as calcium carbonate, hard water scale, rust stains and uric scale.

Common active ingredients include hydrochloric acid, phosphoric acid, sulfamic acid and citric acid.

Applications: Ceramic toilet bowls, urinals and acid-resistant sanitary fixtures.

2. Toilet Cleaner Gel

RXSOL Toilet Cleaner Gel is designed with a thickened consistency to improve adhesion to vertical ceramic surfaces and under-rim areas.

Key benefits:

  • Extended contact time on stained surfaces.

  • Effective removal of mineral deposits.

  • Improved application control.

  • Reduced immediate runoff compared with thin liquids.

  • Suitable for routine and heavy-duty formulations.

3. Toilet Descaling Chemicals

Toilet descalers are used for removing stubborn mineral accumulation, calcium deposits and uric scale.

Depending on the application, RXSOL descaling formulations may be based on Mixture of sulfamic acid, phosphoric acid or other suitable acidic ingredients.

4. Disinfectant Toilet Cleaners

Disinfectant cleaners are intended to reduce microbial contamination on compatible surfaces.

Common disinfectant chemistries include sodium hypochlorite, hydrogen peroxide and quaternary ammonium compounds.

Disinfection claims must be supported by testing at the specified dilution and contact time.

5. Alkaline Washroom Cleaners

Alkaline detergents are used to remove body oils, grease, soap residues and organic soils from compatible washroom surfaces.

They are especially useful for general washroom maintenance where aggressive acidic cleaners are unnecessary.

Remarks / Precaution

Frequently Asked Questions

Which chemical is best for removing hard toilet scale?

Hydrochloric acid-based cleaners can remove heavy calcium deposits, while sulfamic and phosphoric acid-based formulations are useful alternatives depending on surface compatibility.

Why is toilet cleaner gel better than ordinary liquid?

Gel formulations remain in contact with vertical surfaces longer, improving application control and allowing more time for scale removal.

Can sodium hypochlorite remove hard water scale?

No. Sodium hypochlorite is primarily an oxidizing disinfectant and bleaching agent, not an effective calcium carbonate descaler.

Can RXSOL toilet cleaner be used on stainless steel?

Acidic cleaners, particularly hydrochloric acid formulations, may cause corrosion and should not be used on stainless steel unless specifically approved for that application.

Note

Recommended Toilet Cleaning Procedure

  1. Identify the deposit and surface material before selecting a chemical.

  2. Apply the appropriate RXSOL cleaning product according to its approved instructions.

  3. Allow the recommended contact time without letting the product dry.

  4. Scrub stubborn deposits with a suitable toilet brush.

  5. Rinse or flush thoroughly.

  6. Where disinfection is required, use a separately approved disinfectant after cleaning and rinsing.

Cleaning removes dirt, while disinfection inactivates microorganisms. Both may be required in institutional washrooms.
